The Naperville Fire Department was also assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department, Transportation, Engineering, Development (TED), Naperville Electric, Naperville Emergency Management Agency, The Dupage County Arson Task Force, and Nicor. The general alarm was upgraded to a box alarm response bringing an additional three Naperville Fire companies, an Oswego FPD truck, and Chief Officers from Naperville, Warrenville FPD, Lisle FPD, Downers Grove, and Bolingbrook. After the arrival of other Naperville Fire companies, multiple hose lines as well as an aerial water stream was utilized to gain control of the fire. Squad 8 verified everyone was out of the house and deployed a hand-line to the main body of fire. A general alarm assignment consists of three engines, two ladder trucks, one squad, two ambulances, and two shift commanders.įive minutes after the initial 911 call, Squad 8 arrived on scene and reported heavy fire from the rear of the single family dwelling, as well as heavy smoke showing from all sides. Subsequent to the initial call, PSAP received numerous calls reporting a fire at the same residence from neighboring people.
